Legacy

The Giosi WOD is a fundraiser that helps Forgiven Warrior carry on the legacy of Jeff Giosi.

A legacy of unshakeable faith, enthusiasm, compassion, and hope for a healthier community.

Giosi WOD

The Giosi WOD is a fitness competition that serves as the benchmark fundraiser for Forgiven Warrior. It is both an in-person local event, as well as an online national leaderboard. Last year, hundreds of individuals participated at gyms all over the country and world, showing Jeff’s remarkable impact and reach.

Jeff Giosi

Jeff Giosi was a man of faith, devoted husband and father, owner of CrossFit Morgantown, elite athlete, wellness pioneer, firefighter, coach, son, brother, and best friend. Jeff passed away unexpectedly on January 23rd, 2021. Jeff had excellence in his career, but it was his impact on individuals and his greater community that he will be remembered for.

Amor Fati

The theme of this year's WOD is Amor Fati. Amor Fati is a Latin phrase that can be translated as "love of fate". It is a motto and attitude Jeff subscribed to, in which it is believed that everything that happens in life, including suffering and loss, is necessary and divinely good.
