Legacy

The Giosi WOD is more than a workout—it’s a tribute to Jeff Giosi’s enduring legacy and a fundraiser that fuels Forgiven Warrior’s mission of holistic wellness.

Jeff’s life was defined by unshakable faith, boundless enthusiasm, and a deep compassion for others, driven by his hope for healthier, stronger communities. Through this event, we continue his vision by creating opportunities to uplift and empower individuals and families, one rep at a time.

Giosi WOD

The Giosi WOD is a fitness competition and the cornerstone fundraiser for Forgiven Warrior, uniting communities both locally and globally. Participants of all ages can join in-person or compete via an online national leaderboard, making it accessible to athletes everywhere. Last year, hundreds from across the world came together to honor Jeff Giosi’s remarkable legacy and support his vision of building stronger, healthier communities.

Jeff Giosi

Jeff Giosi was a man whose life radiated faith, love, and purpose. As a devoted husband, father, coach, firefighter, and owner of CrossFit Morgantown, he dedicated himself to empowering others. Jeff wasn’t just an elite athlete or a wellness pioneer—he was a relentless encourager, a loyal friend, and a compassionate leader who lifted everyone around him. When Jeff passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2021, his legacy became a testament to the extraordinary power of a life lived in service to others. His impact wasn’t measured by achievements but by the countless lives he touched, inspiring hope, strength, and a commitment to building healthier, more connected communities.

2025 GIOSI WOD TEES COMING SOON!

2024 Giosi WOD Individual Social Media Post (1)

This year, the theme of the Giosi WOD is Warrior Heart, and it hold deep personal significance. Jeff Giosi’s passing, due to an aortic aneurysm, brought the Warrior Heart  theme to the forefront, as we witnessed firsthand the power of community coming together in times of crisis. In those final moments, the outpouring of support, and the life-saving efforts of those who performed CPR, exemplified the very essence of having a Warrior Heart.

The Warrior Heart theme is now more than just a tribute to Jeff—it is the foundation of our mission to equip our community with life-saving skills. This year, 100% of the proceeds from the Giosi WOD will go directly to the Warrior Heart program, a critical initiative focused on providing free community  CPR/First Aid training, AEDs to local organizations, and ensuring that more members of our community have the tools and knowledge to save lives. These funds will also help us train new instructors so we can extend our reach and continue spreading this vital education.

The Warrior Heart program is more than a lifeline; it represents the courage, compassion, and commitment we all share for our community’s wellness. Whether it’s a sudden cardiac event or a life-threatening emergency, we want everyone to have the confidence and skills to step in and make a difference. Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and more prepared community.

Join us in embracing the Warrior Heart as we come together to honor Jeff, save lives, and make our community better.
